Cavalcade of the Magi

Epiphany, January 6, is a national holiday in Italy.  There is an elaborate parade dating from 1417 that takes place in Florence with live animals, music, and fantastic costumes. The parade goes from the Pitti Palace to the Duomo. These are photos from this year's parade.
